Summary

Superfeet Active Cushion insoles are designed for multisport use. In my review, I tested them in both playing and coaching situations. My model was the Medium Arch version, as I have fairly neutral feet.

These insoles come in different size ranges, and you can trim the excess to match your shoe size. At first, I was a bit doubtful about cutting them, since I was worried it might be difficult and could ruin the insoles. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Cutting and shaping them was actually very easy.

The whole cutting and fitting process took me about 10 minutes. I removed the original insole from my tennis shoe, placed it on top of the new one, and used a pencil to trace the toe line. When trimming the excess, I was not overly careful, but the edge has stayed clean and has not frayed at all.

When I first tried the insoles in my Asics Gel-Resolution 9 shoes, they felt quite thick, almost like there was not enough room on top of my feet. It was not uncomfortable, but the shoes felt quite packed. After a few sessions, I got used to the feeling, and now they feel comfortable.

While moving, you can feel the extra cushioning, especially in the heel area. I noticed this most during coaching, where I spend a lot of time walking. It made longer sessions feel noticeably smoother. During play, I did not notice anything special, but afterward my feet felt fresher and less strained.

Overall, I would say the Superfeet Active Cushion insoles are a solid addition, especially for active tennis players and coaches. Tennis shoes tend to be quite firm and usually come with basic insoles that do not offer much cushioning. These improved the overall comfort of my shoes and helped reduce strain on my feet. If you are looking for more comfort on court, they are definitely worth trying, especially with the 60 day guarantee.

Comfort and Cushioning – 9/10

In the beginning, it may take some time to get used to the extra thickness of the insole, and your shoes might feel a bit “packed.” This feeling should go away after a few hours, once the insoles have settled and adapted to your shoes. The material itself feels soft and comfortable underfoot.

Each insole has two additional padding zones in the forefoot and heel areas. In tennis, where you are often on your toes, the forefoot padding adds noticeable comfort, especially after playing sessions. The extra padding also helps distribute your weight more evenly across the sole, which in turn reduces strain on your feet and legs during movement.

Support – 9/10

I did not find the insoles to provide extra support, but that was not my main priority, as I was looking more for added comfort. That said, the construction feels solid, and the insoles hold their shape well without feeling too hard.

Durability – 9/10

I have been actively using the insoles for three months, and I have not noticed any extra wear or tear. The upper fabric is still in good condition, and the integrated paddings have not peeled off. The edges from cutting the insoles during fitting have stayed intact and have not started to fray.

Value For Money 9/10

At around $50, I would say the Superfeet Active Cushion insoles are worth the price. They help reduce strain on your feet, making your playing and coaching sessions more comfortable. For active tennis coaches in particular, these insoles are a solid addition.
