Court Type: Hard

The K-Swiss Ultrashot 4 tennis shoes felt supportive and comfortable right from the start. I especially liked how well they absorbed impact, and my feet felt protected even during longer matches.
The shoes are a bit heavier than many of the other tennis shoes I’ve worn, but on the other hand the weight also adds good stability. During changes of direction the shoe felt secure, and my foot didn’t move around too much inside it.
The fit was good enough in my opinion. Overall, I liked the shoes, and I could easily wear them for longer matches too.

● Good cushioning and shock absorption.
● A supportive build for quick changes of direction.
● Good grip on court.
● An outsole that feels durable.
● Nice-looking shoes.
The shoes feel well made and durable. The build is solid, and the materials seem like they’ll hold up well to regular tennis use. I also like the way the shoe looks.
The shoes were comfortable on my feet, and the cushioning in the sole felt especially good. There was also enough padding around the heel. At first the shoes felt a bit stiff, but with use they molded better to my feet. The comfort held up well during longer matches. They aren’t quite as soft as the K-Swiss Women’s Hypercourt Express 2, though.
This is where I think the shoes were at their best. My foot stayed well in place, and the shoe felt stable during quick lateral movements. It also gave good support when stopping and changing direction. The shoes gave me a confident feeling while playing.
The shoes had good grip, and I could move around the court without the shoe feeling slippery. Changes of direction went well. However, they aren’t the lightest shoes, so I sometimes noticed the weight during quick movements. Even so, they didn’t feel clunky.
In my opinion, the weight was the shoe’s biggest downside. It feels a bit heavier on the foot than my lighter tennis shoes.
I think the Ultrashot 4 offers good value for money. The shoes are comfortable, supportive and feel durable.
I’d especially recommend these to players who want good support and stability from their tennis shoes. If you’re looking for the lightest possible shoe for fast movement, though, I’d go for a lighter model.
All in all, I’m happy with the K-Swiss Ultrashot 4. Their best qualities are great support and grip. The biggest downside is the slightly heavy weight, but personally I value the shoe’s stability more than the weight bothers me.
